Urban Geometry

“Aufräumen” is a photograph project of HfG Karlsruhe. I have attended this project in 2016.
“Aufräumen” is a German word. It’s explanation in the dictionary is, “Make order, put in order, put in its place, clear out of the way”. It’s a process of making disorder to order. It can also be a process to remove the excess stuff. Following the concept of “aufräumen” I have made these 2 photo series:
The first series is focus on the minimal details in the city.
The second series was made in the city library of Stuttgart. There’s a big, bright space in this amazing building. And everywhere is white. So I could take these interesting movements, in front of a white background, like a canvas.
Sometimes it’s full of random people. Sometimes it’s completely empty. And sometimes it’s happened to be an ordered scenario.
I have to find the right place in the building to take these moments. It’s more like I’m cleaning it with my camera and imagination.
